Whats Really in your Dog's Treats? Why we Keep Ours Simple.
Todd ManginShare
When we started paying closer attention to what was actually in the food and treats we were giving our dogs, we were surprised by what we found.
Our dog Balboa struggled with food allergies, which pushed us to start reading labels, researching ingredients, and asking a simple question:
Why does feeding our dogs have to be so complicated?
We saw ingredient lists filled with things we didn’t recognize and started thinking differently about what we wanted to put in our dogs’ bowls.
That became a big part of the philosophy behind Lake Gaston Pawvisions.
🐾 We Believe Simple Is Better
When you pick up one of our treats, we want you to know exactly what you’re feeding your pet.
Some of our treats have one ingredient.
Henhouse Munchies? Raw chicken liver.
Boba’s Beef Liver Bites? Raw beef liver.
Sweet Pup’tatoes? Sweet potato.
Others combine just a couple of real-food ingredients, like our Beefy Greens made with raw beef liver and kale, or Farmhouse Feast made with raw chicken liver and sweet potato.
No mystery ingredient list. Just real food you can recognize.
❄️ Why Freeze-Dried?
Freeze-drying removes moisture from food without cooking it at high temperatures. It gives our treats that light, crunchy texture dogs love while allowing us to keep the ingredient list incredibly simple.
It also means we don’t need to add a bunch of unnecessary ingredients just to create a treat your dog gets excited about.
❤️ Made for Our Dogs and Yours
Pawvisions started with our own dogs and the desire to feed them differently.
That hasn’t changed.
We make treats using the same philosophy we want for our own pets: real ingredients, simple recipes, and nothing there just to make the ingredient list longer.
Because our dogs are family.
And we think they deserve real food, too.
Real food. Simple ingredients. Made for dogs we love. 🐾
